20 years look to me like a short journey, because I learned so much over the years. My innovative mindset, one of the core values of EPEX SPOT, has grown thanks to people who crossed my road and with whom we have contributed to a better energy future. We have always moved forward together, as a team. Let’s continue to do so!

Ten years ago, I joined EPEX SPOT and from the start until today there has not been a single boring moment. The business is innovative and fast-moving, where blueprints don’t exist yet and it calls for the creativity and vision of the teams to develop new solutions for the market. With new challenges, from Market Coupling milestones to mergers, from new market initiatives to new product launches, everybody wants to progress and succeed as a team. At EPEX SPOT, I work at the interface between business and public stakeholders. I find it highly motivating to work for a company that drives forward the European energy transition with concrete innovations, and this in a challenging and rapidly evolving political environment.

I started my journey at EPEX SPOT working within the Market Operations team, learning from scratch what the spot market is all about. Operations have provided a great overview over the power trading activity. However, I wanted to complete some parts of the puzzle, and joining the Sales Team has helped me to do so. The puzzle keeps growing, as our customers and the entire industry are facing new challenges. This motivates me to continue my journey.

For me joining EPEX SPOT in this Facility role was mainly motivated by the many locations in several European countries. Now that I work here, I love to see all different nationalities coming together. It creates an international culture where everyone is welcome.
